Friends of Delapre Abbey - Notice of Meeting
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a Special General Meeting of the Friends of Delapre Abbey will be held at The Recreation Centre, Towcester Road, Northampton at 7.30pm (doors open at 7pm) on Monday 21st December 2009 to transact the following business. Please note this is a private meeting and only FoDA members will be admitted.

1. Accounts
To approve the accounts for the year ended March 2009.
2. Company Ltd by Guarantee Status
FoDA has been advised by the Charity Commission and our solicitors Howes Percival to dissolve the existing FoDA charity and transfer its assets to a new incorporated company limited by guarantee. If agreed by the membership, the newly incorporated FoDA will reapply for its charitable status with the Charity Commission.
At present all the members of FoDA are equally liable should any losses be incurred. By changing to a new incorporated company limited by guarantee, that liability is reduced to a maximum value of £1 per member
