Today the judges of East Midland in Bloom visited Delapre Abbey.  Delapre formed part of Northampton's entry into this years competition, for which a Silver Guilt award was won last year.

 

One of the main focuses of this years competition was 'community involvement'.  At Delapre we were able to show the judges various volunteer led projects in the walled garden (including; vegetable garden, greenhouse restoration, pumpkin patch, herb garden and sweet-pea house) as well as Barclaycards' restoration and improvement of a nearby woodland.
