 3rd CAMRA BEER FESTIVAL at Delapre Abbey

Over 150 beers, cider & perry.

Thursday 29thMay 5pm - 11pm.

Friday 30th May 12 noon - 11pm. Live music from 7pm with Cousin Avi & Spaced Out.

Saturday 31st May 12 noon - 11pm. Live music 4pm, Shocking Monkeys. 7.30 Flying Ants.

Admission free Thursday. Friday & Saturday admission after 7pm £2.00

 Friday 30th May Re-enacment by Sealed Knot between 8-8.30 pm.
Saturday 31st May Re-enacment by Sealed Knot at 12.00, 4.00 & 8.00pm(45 minutes ).
 
Saturday Classic  &  American car Show from 10.00 - 3.00.pm
 

Halloween Party for Children

October 31st saw the very first Halloween event at the Abbey. FoDA were expecting around 60 children and were overwhelmed at the huge number of children and families who arrived without tickets on the night! Despite this the event was a success and watch this space for next year's event plans. The proceeds from this event were be donated to BBC Children in Need.

Delapre Family Show

Saturday/ Sunday, 30th/31st August 2008. times & programme to be announced later.

Heritage Weekend

12th/13th/14th September, a unique chance to see inside Delapre Abbey. Tours to announced by Northampton Borough Council in August.

Entertainment to be announced later.

 

Reptile Show

Following the amphibian, reptile & insect association not being invited to attend the balloon festival this year, FoDA offered a marquee for a 2-day show at the stable block on 18/19 August from 10am – 4pm. Many people came with children who were able to discuss, see and handle such exotic creatures as snakes & lizards. All proceeds from this event were donated to FoDA.

Paranormal Investigation for Children in Need

On Saturday November 3rd a paranormal investigation took place in the main Abbey building & grounds hosted by Dr. Ciaran O'Keeffe (currently on Living TV's) MOST HAUNTED, Richard Felix and Steve Parsons also formerly of MOST HAUNTED, Dr. Simon Sherwood and medium Carl Fletcher. Abbey Tea Room opens for business!

April 2007 saw the doors open to the newly refurbished Abbey Tea Room situated in the 17th C Stable Block and overlooking the beautiful and tranquil walled garden. Officially opened by the Mayor & Mayoress of Northampton in May 2007, the Tea Room is open every day from 10am - 5pm serving a selection of sandwiches, home-made soups, baked potatoes,wraps, ploughmans lunches, home-made cakes, teas & coffees and a warm welcome. We can also open the Tea Room outside these hours on demand and offer a competitive external catering service.
